An experienced fashion designer and global fashion industry professional, Wendy has directed the Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) since 2007 as the strategic developer of emerging London fashion designer businesses, and established it firmly within the London Fashion Designer Economy. She has been a judge for several international awards for fashion designers and fashion entrepreneurs and a consultant to the “Incube” fashion incubation development in Istanbul and to the “Fashion Forward” designers platform at Jakarta Fashion Week for the past three years, also advising the European Commission DG Enterprise and Industry on UK small fashion designer businesses (SMEs).

Under her direction, designers on the renowned two year CFE “Venture Programme” have included Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Meadham Kirchoff, Richard Nicoll, Mary Katrantzou ,James Long and Thomas Tait who have benefitted from CFE team, studio and resources. Over recent years new programmes have been developed to broaden the reach of CFE ,to other fashion designer entrepreneurs with early stage coaching support, as a pipeline to the designer sector.

With over 20 years of high-level strategic experience within the international designer sector, designing high end womenswear for international markets she was awarded an MBA in 1996, the Fellowship of the Chartered Society of Designers in 1996 and Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts in 2012.

She has been awarded several successful industry research projects with the DCMS,NESTA and IPO and led the European bid for funding an expert manufacturing team to create the “Designer-Manufacturer Innovation and Support Centre” (DISC) in London which was launched in February 2012.
